Varna’s Planetarium is among the famous attractions of the sea capital Bulgaria
Our magnificent sea capital of Varna possesses one of the most beautiful sea gardens.
Apart of being a natural park, the sea garden is a place for recreation and entertainment for tourists and residents of the city.
It has most of the entertainments of Varna. Walking under the shadows of the old trees, along the splendid colorful alleys you can visit the Naval Museum, the Aquarium, the Terarium, the Zoo and the Dolphinarium.
Just besides the entry of the Sea garden is situated the wonderful building of the Varna’s Planetarium. The visits in the astronomical complex are possible mostly with appointments. The pupils from the Varna’s schools are privileged. They learn the lessons of the astronomy subject easier with lectures and examples.
In fact it is not necessary to have any knowledge in this subject so you can be able to “touch” the mysterious beauty of the unbounded Space.
It is not accidentally that a lot of guests of the Sea capital of Bulgaria visit the planetarium too. It is very busy during the summer time when the city welcomes thousands of tourists. Comfortably settled in the Stars’ Hall in front of everybody’s eyes is spreading the showered with twinkle stars sky while all the people listen the lecture about the most curious luminous phenomena.
There is another planetarium in the city of Varna, which is located in the area of the Naval Academy. The diameter of its dome is 18 meters and its capacity is 120 seats. It is very interesting that the way the dome is constructed allows the cameraman to show the type of the sky and the astronomical phenomena in the same way they would have been seen from a certain point of the Earth or the Space.
Except for the education of the cadets, the planetarium of the Naval Academy organizes lectures for tourists as well. It is offered 4 thematic series in nine working languages.
